<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyoxyalkylene ether acetic acid in high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a polyoxyalkylene ether acetic acid includes the following steps (1) to (3): (1) a step for obtaining a polyoxyalkylene ether becoming a raw material; (2) a step for reducing the content of 4-22C alcohols contained in the polyoxyalkylene ether obtained in the step (1) to ≤3.0 mass%; and (3) a step for feeding oxygen to a liquid phase containing water and the polyoxyalkylene ether obtained in the step (2), and dehydrogenating and oxidizing the polyoxyalkylene ether in the presence of a platinum catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
