<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect malfunctions of a sensor or a processor. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle controller 1 includes: a duplexed sensor 2; a first processor 11; and a second processor 12. The sensor 2 includes: a first sensor 3 that generates a first output signal S1; and a second sensor 4 that generates a second output signal S2. The first output signal S1 is input to the first processor 11, and the second output signal S2 is input to the second processor 12. The processors 11 and 12 have signal communication sections 23 and 33 for obtaining the first and second output signals S1 and S2. The processors 11 and 12 have signal reference sections 25 and 35 that determine malfunction of any of the sensors and the processors, referring to the first and second output signals S1 and S2.
