PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for heating which does not impose a large negative pressure on a cover body after it is cooled down and negative pressure is generated inside the container, allows the cover to easily open after cooking, has a simple valve structure, and is easy to wash after cooking. SOLUTION: An inner wall surface 2b of a container body 2 is provided with: a first insertion groove 2d which continues to an insertion part 2c of the container body 2 and is inserted in a diameter expanded part 3b of the cover body 3; a second insertion groove 2e which has an inner diameter corresponding to an outer diameter of the diameter expanded part 3d of the cover body 3 and is inserted in the diameter expanded part 3b; and an air flow groove 2f linked in the axial direction of the container body 2 from the second insertion groove 2e through the first insertion groove 2d to an upper part opening part 2a of the container body 2. When the container is heated and pressured in the state that the diameter expanded part 3b of the cover body 3 is inserted in the second insertion groove 2e of the container body 2, the diameter-expanded part 3b of the cover body 3 moves into the first insertion groove 2d of the container body 2 by inner pressure, is inserted in the insertion part 2c, the air flow groove 2f is opened and exhausted, whereas when cooled down and negative pressure occurs, the air is sucked through the opening air flow groove 2f.
