RELAY DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control communication in a network.

SOLUTION: A communication network comprises a plurality of relay devices relaying packets exchanged among a plurality of communication terminals. The relay device comprises: a monitoring unit which measures its own communication load, and compares the measured communication load with a predetermined threshold for a communication load; a change request unit which transmits a communication state change request to other relay devices on the basis of the comparison result by the monitoring unit; and a communication control unit which changes its own communication state on receiving a change request from another relay device.
