PURPOSE: A tripod type constant velocity joint is provided to lower a production cost by reducing the number of components, to improve axial and idle vibration, and to enhance lubrication performance. CONSTITUTION: A tripod type constant velocity joint comprises a housing(32), a spider(33), and a spherical roller(34). The housing comprises a track groove inside and delivers the rotation power of an engine. The spider is installed inside the housing for connecting the housing and a shaft. The spider is equipped with three trunnions(33a) for inserting into the track grooves. The spherical roller is installed in the outer periphery of a trunnion. The outer periphery of the trunnion is formed with a discontinuous surface with a different curvature from the curvature of the trunnion outer periphery.
