<p>PURPOSE: A touch sensing system using a difference value between a sensing signal and a baseline and an operating method thereof are provided to increase the accuracy of detection by touch by adaptively changing a threshold value according to the intensity of touch. CONSTITUTION: A touch sensing unit(10) includes touchable areas and a calculating unit(20) calculates a difference value between a sensing signal and a baseline. A group setting unit(30) groups areas having the difference value and a threshold calculating unit(40) calculates the maximum value of each group and calculates a threshold value of a group corresponding to the maximum value. A touch determining unit(50) determines an area bigger than the threshold value as a touched area. The group setting unit groups the adjacent areas as the same group.
