ELECTROLYTIC SUPER CAPACITOR BASED ON CARBON NANOPARTICLES WITH AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION

Invention herewith described refers to the electrolytic super capacitor based on carbon nanoparticles with aqueous electrolyte solution. The invention relates to the use of new carbon nanostructures obtained by carbonization of the nanostructured polyaniline doped with 5-sulfosalicylic acid in the super capacitors with KOH solution as electrolyte. The presented capacitor can have a capacity of 350 F per gram of active material at the current load of 0.2 A g -1 while under the extreme current loads of 12 A g-1 the specific capacity remains at the value of about 200 F g -1. Use of C-PANI.SSA-NR/NT as the electrolyte in the super capacitors with 6 M KOH as the electrolyte provides a stable specific capacitance of 200 F g -1 under the extreme current load of 10 A g-1 during the 5000 cycles of the galvanostatic charge/discharge.
