PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain wall type exterior wall structure for changing the exchange of an exterior wall panel and the layout of a bearing wall.SOLUTION: A curtain wall type exterior wall structure 1 in which an exterior wall panel 2 is suspended at the outdoor side of a structural skeleton constituted of beam-columns 4 and 5 is configured such that a bearing panel 50 which shares a horizontal yield strength is disposed between columns 4 at the indoor side of the exterior wall panel 2 separately from the exterior wall panel 2, and that the upper end and lower end of the bearing panel 50 are respectively fixed to a beam 5. It is desired that the bearing panel 50 is almost shaped like a ladder constituted of vertical materials 50a at both right and left edges and at least two horizontal members 50b connecting the vertical materials 50 to each other.
