PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundant air conditioning system free from a problem in switching in an abnormal time.SOLUTION: All local cooling units 6 are connected to a common refrigerant pipe (going-path header 4 and returning-path header 5), and all refrigerant pump units 1 are connected through cut-off valves. The number of the refrigerant pump units 1 are more than the number required according to the total required cooling capacity. In a normal time, all refrigerant pump units 1 are kept in an operating state, and operated to respond to the total required cooling capacity. When the abnormality is found in any of the pump units 1, the pump unit is separated from the common refrigerant pipe, and the output of the remaining pump units 1 is increased to continuously respond to the total required cooling capacity. |
