PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance control method by which slip and relaxation of a belt-like body is prevented when the long belt-like body fed from an unwinding roll is carried in a can roll through a pre-feed roll.SOLUTION: The conveyance control method is characterized in that for the pre-feed roll and the can roll, each driven to rotate by a servomotor, the pre-feed rate defined by expression: "pre-feed rate" = (circumferential velocity of pre-feed roll÷circumferential velocity of can roll)×100, is set through a previous test. The method includes searching and graphing the relation of carry-in tension (obtained by measuring and calculating torque of each motor shaft) acting on the belt-like body and the pre-feed rate by continuously changing the pre-feed rate, then searching a slip region (the carry-in tension is too high) where the belt-like body slips and a slack region (the carry-in tension is too low) where slack occurs from the resulting graph, setting grip areas existing in the middle of these areas, and selecting the pre-feed rate from among the grip areas where it is confirmed that silp or the like does not occur. |
