PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system capable of highly accurately identifying an ability conversion point of an actuator in a calibration.SOLUTION: This endoscope system 1 includes: the actuator 20 having a shape-memory element; an output control circuit 52 for driving an actuator 20; a detecting circuit 53 for detecting a resistance value of an SMA wire 21 for detecting the position of a moving member 30; and a CPU 51. When being commanded to calibrate, the CPU 51 outputs to the output control circuit 52, a drive signal Dr for supplying the actuator 20 with a current that monotonically increases at a prescribed rate from a prescribed start current value to a prescribed maximal current value, and stores in a memory 2a, the resistance value in which an absolute value of a secondary differential value of the resistance value of the SMA wire 21 detected by the detecting circuit 53 becomes a prescribed threshold or more. |
