PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when the actual place of installation is difficult to grasp, or when network apparatuses whose connection configuration is complicated go wrong or are replaced, much time is spent in order to grasp the situation and a prompt response cannot therefore be taken.SOLUTION: A network apparatus response device which is connected to a communication apparatus via a network, includes a communication analysis unit to analyze received communication and a sound generation/light emission unit to generate a sound or emit light according to an instruction from the communication analysis unit. The network apparatus response device is characterized in that when a packet including a reply request is received from the communication apparatus, the communication analysis unit analyzes the packet and, when the packet is found to contain information commanding a sound generation or light emission operation, sends a sound generation or light emission instruction to the sound generation/light emission unit, and the sound generation/light emission unit generates a sound or emits light as instructed. |
