PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamable polystyrene resin particle which can allow a foam-molded body produced therefrom to have excellent cushioning performance, can be pre-foamed while preventing pre-foamed particles from being bonded to one another, and can be produced easily.SOLUTION: The foamable polystyrene resin particle is characterized in that powder of a resin having 60-130°C glass transition point is stuck onto the surface thereof. The method for producing the foamable polystyrene resin particle comprises the steps of: adding the powder of the resin having 60-130°C glass transition point and polyhydric alcohol to the foamable polystyrene resin particle; and mixing them to obtain the foamable polystyrene resin particle onto the surface of which the powder of the resin is stuck. |
