PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed mechanism of a printer which is simple in structure and can avoid the overlapped feed of recording mediums which are stacked and attached.SOLUTION: A paper feed mechanism comprises a paper feed roller 2 which draws out printing paper sheets 125 which are stacked and attached to a paper sheet tray 120 from the paper sheet tray 120 and feeds the paper sheets to the side of a printing part 104, and a paper sheet guide 1 for guiding the printing paper sheets 125 to the side of the printing part 104. A separator 3 is arranged at the paper feed mechanism 101. Since the paper sheet guide 1 is energized to a direction in which the guide is moved to the lower side rather than a top 3b of the separator 3, when a plurality of the printing paper sheets 125 are drawn out of the paper sheet tray 120, the separator 3 separates the printing paper sheet 125 at the uppermost layer, and the paper sheet guide 1 returns the printing paper sheet 125 other than that of the uppermost layer which is separated from the printing paper sheet 125 at the uppermost layer to the paper sheet tray 120. |
