PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support establishment of a block point at a proper position in a ring network.SOLUTION: A communication system 100 includes a plurality of communication devices 10 forming a ring network 12 and a monitoring device 18. Each of the plurality of communication devices 10 appends, to a relayed frame, an ID tag indicating the number of communication devices relaying that frame in the ring network 12. For frames received by a predetermined communication device 10 and having the ID tag appended thereto, the monitoring device 18 calculates a total frame data amount for each number of relaying communication devices. |
