PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method, by which a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery exhibiting further larger discharge capacity is obtainable.SOLUTION: In a method for producing an olivine type silicate compound which is represented by following formula (I) LiFeMnCoZrSiO(in formula (I), w, x, y, and z respectively represent numbers satisfying 0≤w≤1, 0≤x≤1, 0≤y≤1, 0≤z≤0.5, and w+x+y=1-2z) or following formula (II) LiFeMnAlSiO(in formula (II), a, b, c, and d respectively represent numbers satisfying 1<a≤2, 0≤b<1, 0≤c<1, 0<d<1, a+2b+2c+3d=4, and b+c≠0), a basic aqueous dispersion liquid (A) containing a lithium compound and a silicic acid compound, and optionally containing a metal compound (a) which exhibits basicity when dissolved, and a metal aqueous dispersion liquid (B) containing one or two or more kinds of metal compounds (b) selected from manganese compounds, iron compounds, cobalt compounds, and zirconium compounds, and an antioxidant are mixed, and the obtained mixture is subjected to a hydrothermal reaction. |
