PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protection film made of propylene based resin having very little fish eyes, and suitable for a surface protection film of construction members such as a synthetic resin plate, a decorative plate, a metallic plate, and a glass plate, and a surface protection film for a liquid crystal display constituent member such as a polarization plate and a retardation plate. SOLUTION: In the surface protection film, an adhesive layer is formed on one surface of a base material layer made of the propylene based resin, and an exfoliation processing layer is formed on the other surface. The propylene based resin of the base material layer is polymerized by using a metallocene catalyst, and is a propylene monopolymer or a propylene_α-olefin random copolymer having specific MFR, peak melting temperature, molecular weight distribution, and a TREF value. The adhesive layer is a layer in which the principal component is a rubber based adhesive.
