PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that allows for an accurate correction of brightness of a backlight as to reduction in brightness of the backlight arising from aging degradation.SOLUTION: An information terminal 100 (display device) comprises: a liquid crystal panel 1 that can display an image; a backlight 3 that irradiates the liquid crystal panel 1 with light; a luminance sensor 4 that measures brightness; and a CPU2 that corrects the brightness of the backlight 3 based on a measurement result of the luminance sensor 4. When external light other than the light of the backlight 3 is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value, the CPU2 determines that there is no influence of the external light and corrects the brightness of the backlight 3. |
