PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent power shortage when a stepping motor returns to a normal state.SOLUTION: An optical device includes a battery 208 that supplies power to a stepping motor 104 for driving a focus lens 100 constituting an imaging optical system for forming an optical image of an object, a voltage detection circuit 207 for detecting voltage of the battery, and a camera microcomputer 200 that permits the start of operation for returning the stepping motor to a normal state if the battery voltage is sufficient, and does not permit the start of operation for returning the stepping motor to a normal state if it is insufficient. |
