摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature winding applied to a rotary electric machine having three phases, four poles, and 42 slots, in which electromagnetic exciting force of four pole components due to a magnetic flux generated by an armature current is reduced to reduce vibrations of an armature iron core to improve reliability.SOLUTION: An armature winding for a rotary electric machine is a three-phase, four-pole two-layer winding armature winding. A winding of each phase of the winding comprises series coils. Each coil has an upper coil piece and a lower coil piece connected to each other at a connection-side coil end and a non-connection-side coil end. The upper coil pieces and lower coil pieces are stored in 42 slots provided in an armature iron core. In the armature winding, at least one coil piece of the upper coil piece and the lower coil piece on an innermost side and an outermost side when viewed from the center of a phase zone of each phase is connected so as to be replaced with a coil piece of an adjacent phase.
