PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive exhibiting high adhesive strength in any trays made of metal, resin and modeling compound, especially in the resin tray, if the contact pressure of an impression material to the tray is weak or if the surface roughness is small by further improving the adhesive strength of the adhesive between the impression material and the tray. SOLUTION: The adhesive for the dental alginate impression material and the impression tray includes: (A) a polyamine compound such as polyallylamine and polyethylene amine including at least two amino groups in one molecule; (B) inorganic particles, preferably basic inorganic particles whose average particle diameter is not more than 10 μm; and (C) an organic solvent whose solubility parameter (δ) is 17.0-23.0 [(MPa)<SP>1/2</SP>].
