PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning filter capable of effectively removing carbon monoxide and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: The problem is solved by an air cleaning filter 10 having a filter base material 1, a gold nanoparticle catalyst 2 formed by carrying gold nanoparticles 4 on a metal oxide 5, and a binder 3 containing one or two or more kinds of metal salt hydrates for fixing the gold nanoparticle catalyst 2 to the filter base material 1. This air cleaning filter 10 is produced by the process of preparing the gold nanoparticle catalyst 2 formed by carrying the gold nanoparticles 4 on a surface of the metal oxide 5, the process of mixing together the gold nanoparticle catalyst 2, one or two or more kinds of metal salt compounds and a water medium to prepare slurry for fixing the gold nanoparticle catalyst, and the process of adhering the slurry for fixing the gold nanoparticle catalyst to the filter base material 1 and drying it. |
