PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect dislocation of saddles, even when the dislocation is caused in a pair of saddles by various abnormalities, in down-end carrying of a coil of using the saddles.SOLUTION: Among a pair of saddles 13a and 13b used for down-end carrying of a coil 20, one saddle 13a is detected by a sensor 14. An area sensor constituted of a plurality of light emitting parts 15a for emitting light and a plurality of light receiving parts 15b for respectively receiving the light in response to the respective light emitting parts, is adopted as the sensor 14. The saddles 13a and 13b move so that the corresponding light receiving parts 15b do not receive the light emitted by some light emitting parts 15a among the plurality of light emitting parts 15a. In this case, when the number of the light receiving parts 15b of not receiving the light is larger than the predetermined number (three), a control part determines that the pair of saddles 13a and 13b are dislocated as detecting the other saddle 13b being a pair with the one saddle 13a. |
