PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow enhancement of a capability having a higher priority according to image forming conditions.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises an intermediate transfer belt 31, a secondary transfer unit 40, a peeling member 71, a peeling member moving mechanism part 67, and a control part. A toner image is transferred to a sheet in a secondary transfer area 92 between the intermediate transfer belt 31 and the secondary transfer unit 40. The peeling member 71 peels the sheet from the intermediate transfer belt 31. The peeling member moving mechanism part 67 moves the peeling member 71 between: a prescribed first peeling position where it comes into press contact with the intermediate transfer belt 31 in a downstream side of the secondary transfer area 92 in the rotation direction 91 of the intermediate transfer belt 31; and a prescribed second peeling position where it comes into press contact with the intermediate transfer belt 31 in a downstream side of the first peeling position. The control part controls the position of the peeling member 71 according to image forming conditions. |
