PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which can suppress breakage of a membrane electrode assembly by a flexure stress caused by deviation between ribs.SOLUTION: A fuel cell comprises: a membrane electrode assembly 30 which is formed by arranging catalyst layers 34, 36 on a polymer electrolyte membrane 32; a first separator 45 which is arranged on one side of the membrane electrode assembly 30; a second separator 40 which is arranged on the other side of the membrane electrode assembly 30; a first rib 55 which consists of a plurality of conductive wires arranged in parallel each other in a gas flow path space 47 disposed between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the first separator 45; a second rib 50 which consists of a plurality of conductive wires arranged in parallel each other and in a planar state in a gas flow path space 42 disposed between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the second separator 40; and a first support body 65 which consists of a plurality of conductive wires arranged in parallel each other and in a planar state between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the first rib 55. The conductive wires forming the first support body 65 is arranged to cross the conductive wires forming the second rib 50 through the membrane electrode assembly 30. |
