PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain satisfactory cleaning performance and prevent the occurrence of filming on a photoreceptor by improving followability for the photoreceptor at the tip ridge line part of a cleaning blade in an image forming apparatus adopting a tip ridge line part harder than an elastic material blade.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus which comprises a photoreceptor 3 and a cleaning blade 62 in contact with a surface of the photoreceptor which surface-moves a tip ridge line part, wherein the photoreceptor contains a filler composed of a metal oxide and has a surface layer having a surface hardness of 200 [N/mm] or more and the tip ridge line part of the cleaning blade is constituted by laminating a base material 622 of the elastic material blade, a mixed layer 62d having a film thickness of 1.0 μm or more of a base material and an acrylic and/or methacrylic resin and a surface layer 623 having a film thickness of 0.1 μm or more including an acrylic and/or methacrylic resin.
