PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which prevents the defect growth and abrasion wear of the surface of a latent image carrier caused by a cleaning member and has excellent resolution, allowing high quality images with excellent reproducibility of halftone images to be obtained for a long period; and a process cartridge.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a latent image carrier, charging means, exposing means, developing means, transfer means and cleaning means. The cleaning means includes a first cleaning member and a second cleaning member. The first cleaning member imparts first particles to the surface of the latent image carrier, having a first cleaning brush which removes the toner remaining on the surface of the latent image carrier. The second cleaning member imparts second particles which has a charge amount different from the charge amount of the first particles to the surface of the latent image carrier, having a second cleaning brush which removes the toner remaining on the surface of the latent image carrier. |
