PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-output, high-efficiency and high-quality rotary electric machine comprising a stator formed to improve a space factor of a stator winding wire and to avoid interference of a coil end portion even in productivity and space factor increase of the stator winding wire caused by continuous winding of a flat wire.SOLUTION: A stator winding wire is comprised continuously of coils circulating multiple times over a plurality of slots and a connecting wire connecting the circulating coils with each other. The stator winding wire is a plurality of sets of stators disposed over all the circumference of a stator core, and apex portions of coil ends disposed at both end sides in an axial direction of the stator core in the stator winding wire is approximately Z-shaped without twisting. The apex portions are layered from an end face of the stator core for a plurality of heights different in the axial direction, thereby including the stator winding wire in which an overlap dimension of coils is reduced and interference of coils in the coil end is avoided, and by using the coil with the rectangular cross section, a space factor is improved for a coil occupied area within the slot. |
