PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated when performing valve-opening control of a high-pressure pump.SOLUTION: When a metering valve 23 of a high-pressure pump 14 is opened, power supply to a solenoid 30 of an electromagnetic actuator 27 is stopped to move a movable part 28 from a closing-side position to an opening-side position, and also, to open the metering valve 23. When a predetermined noise reduction control execution condition is established, valve-opening control for noise reduction is executed. In the valve-opening control for noise reduction, the power supply to the solenoid 30 is continued to hold the movable part 28 at the closing-side position until the fuel pressure in a pump chamber 17 is decreased and the metering valve 23 is opened. After the metering valve 23 is opened, the power supply to the solenoid 30 is once stopped. Before the movable part 28 reaches the opening-side position, the power supply is again temporarily supplied to the solenoid 30. As a result, the electromagnetic attracting force of the solenoid 30 is temporarily generated and a moving speed when the movable part 28 is moved to the opening-side position is reduced by the electromagnetic attracting force. |
