PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell unit which can equalize the internal temperature distribution of a casing in a composition having a reformer and an evaporator disposed side by side above a fuel cell stack.SOLUTION: A fuel cell unit 2 has a casing 56 incorporating in it a cell stack 16, a reformer 20b which generates a fuel gas supplied to the stack by steam reforming, and an evaporator 20a which generates a steam supplied to the reformer by evaporation of water. In the fuel cell unit 2, the reformer and the evaporator are disposed side by side above the stack, and combustion gas lead-out means 21a is provided which, when a residue of the fuel gas supplied to the stack and unused in power generation and an oxidant gas supplied to the stack through another path separately from the fuel gas are burned between the stack and the reformer and the evaporator, guides the flow of combustion gas arising from the combustion as it flows upward from beneath the reformer and the evaporator so that the whole of the combustion gas flows closer to the evaporator side than to the reformer. |
