PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium metal oxide positive electrode stable at high temperatures and capable of being used for a long period of time, and a lithium ion secondary battery including the lithium metal oxide positive electrode.SOLUTION: There are provided: a positive electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery sequentially including a positive electrode collector, a positive electrode active material layer capable of inserting, extracting, or inserting and extracting lithium ions, and a lithium ion conductive layer; and a lithium ion secondary battery including the positive electrode.
