PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material in which lifetime characteristics during charge and discharge at high temperatures is improved and an increase in impedance is suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery expressed by the following chemical formula (1) and containing antimony. yLiMnO-(1-y)LiMSbO(1) (In the formula, M is one or more selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co and Mn, and 0
