PURPOSE: An ultrasonic image processing method capable of using a nonlinearly characteristic and an ultrasonic image processing apparatus are provided to use a nonlinearly characteristic estimating method which is strong against noise, thereby implement an accurate image. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic signal is beamformered(310) through a beam former. A nonlinearly characteristic is presumed(320) by using any one of an auto-regression model or an eigen decomposition. An image color value is derived and a color functionality image is generated(330). A B- mode image is generated from a signal which is beamformered(340). The color functionality image and the B- mode image are combined(350).
