PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manifold block (140) for improving the efficiency of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A manifold block is arranged so as to be located between an intake manifold and a cylinder head of an engine (130) and comprises a block of material having at least one manifold channel (110) therethrough. The manifold channel has an input end part and an output end part, the inlet input end is connected to the intake manifold (102) and the output end is connected to the cylinder head. The manifold channel includes at least one injector head channel (132) arranged toward the inlet end part and constituted to receive a fuel injector. Further, the manifold block may incorporate one or more induction regulators for improving the efficiency of fuel/air mixing in the manifold channels (104, 106, 108, 110). |
