PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high water-retentive block having a larger amount of water retention than that of a water-retentive block regulated in JIS A 5371, and a method of manufacturing a high water-retentive block having a large amount of water retention.SOLUTION: A high water-retentive block is formed of concrete, the concrete including water, cement and soft blast furnace slag fine aggregate. A water-cement ratio is 15-35%, a unit aggregate volume is 600-900 L/m, and a filling rate is 60-76%, and a coefficient of water absorption of the soft blast furnace slag fine aggregate is 0.8-5%. |
