PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus that transmits serial data from a controller to a recording head using a low-voltage differential signaling technique, without generating skew between a serial clock and serial data due to transmission.SOLUTION: A multiplying circuit 21 of a controller generates a multiplied clock MCLK by multiplying a serial clock SCLK by a multiplication number equal to the number of bits n of driving data (including SDATA1-i). A parallel/serial converter 22 converts the driving data into serial data LSDATA synchronized with the multiplied clock where the time equivalent to one cycle of the multiplied clock is used as one bit, and transmits the serial data LSDATA by using a low-voltage differential signal. A serial/parallel converter 11 of a recording head generates a restored clock synchronized with the serial data where the time equivalent to one bit of the received serial data is used as one cycle. A frequency division circuit 12 divides the restored clock into n parts, to generate the serial clock SCLK. |
