PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device and a method of purifying combustion gascapable of reducing CO while suppressing NHgenerated in reduction reaction of NOx in a NOx reduction catalyst from being oxidized into NOx by a NHoxidation catalyst.SOLUTION: A combustion device 10 has a burner 13, a can body 14, a discharge passage 15, a NOx reduction catalyst C1 provided in a space in the can body 14, a NHoxidation catalyst C2 provided in an area, within a discharge passage 15, where a predetermined gas temperature range is achieved with a ratio of oxidation of NHinto Nbeing higher than a ratio of oxidation of the NHin combustion gas G2 into NOx, an air supply part 17 provided between the NOx reduction catalyst C1 and the NHoxidation catalyst C2 in the discharge passage 15, for supplying secondary combustion air to the discharge passage 15, and a combustion control part 39 for burning fuel gas at a theoretical air ratio or below to generate the combustion gas G2. |
