PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a physical constitution (form) of a connection section of an external conductor terminal.SOLUTION: A structure for connecting an external conductor terminal 10 to an external conductor of an electric wire 1 comprises: an external conductor 4 provided on an outer periphery of an insulation coating 3 of an internal conductor 2 and made of a strand; and a protective coating 5 coating an outer peripheral face of the external conductor. The external conductor terminal 10 has: a terminal section 11 formed at one end of a flat plate; and cylindrical sections 12, 14 formed by bending the other end. The cylindrical sections 12, 14 of the external conductor terminal are covered on the outer periphery of the insulation coating 3 at a portion at which the protective coating is exfoliated to expose the external conductor, or the outer periphery of the protective coating 5 at a portion adjacent to that portion. A strand of the external conductor is arranged in contact with the outer peripheral faces of the cylindrical sections, and C-shaped rings 20, 25 covering the outer periphery of the strand are caulked, so as to press-bond connect the strand of the external conductor to the outer peripheral faces of the cylindrical sections. |
