PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of maintaining favorable traveling performance even if switched from a two-wheel drive mode to a four-wheel drive mode.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system 10 includes a vehicle body 12, a shift lever 76, a control device 50, and a display 80 for displaying a recommended gear stage. The vehicle body 12 has a first disconnection mechanism 26 provided between an engine 20 and a differential gear 40 on a rear wheel 16 side; and a second disconnection mechanism 32 provided between a differential gear 44 on a front wheel 14 side and a front wheel 14. The control device 50 calculates a vehicle-speed reduction margin produced by connection between the first disconnection mechanism 26 and the second disconnection mechanism 32 when switched from a two-wheel drive mode to a four-wheel drive mode, and then evaluates a recommended gear stage corresponding to the vehicle-speed reduction margin to display it on the display 80 and inform a user. |
