PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a tape jam.SOLUTION: In the case where a bank bill does not reach a transfer part with an upper conveyance path 25 by an expected arrival time since bank bill rewinding is started, whether the paper bill reaches the transfer part is further monitored until an allowable time elapses, when a time-out comes because the bank bill does not reach the transfer part by the allowable time, bank bill rewinding is stopped, and a tape jam can surely be prevented by setting the allowable time shorter than a time which is required for a tape to be slack to be wound into an unintended place and can wait for the bank bill to arrive as long as possible. |
