PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide anatase-type titania sol having alkaline liquid properties and a low haze value and showing high photocatalytic activity in a dry state, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: In alkaline anatase-type titania sol containing mono-, di- or trialkylamine whose boiling point is in the range of 25-90°C, the pH is in the range of 9.0-13.0, and the haze value measured under the condition of the TiOconcentration of 1% and the optical path length of 10 mm is <40%. In a method for producing the anatase-type titania sol, titanium oxide hydrate gel is peptized with the mono-, di- or trialkylamine whose boiling point is in the range of 25-90°C in the presence of water. |
