PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic stack that facilitates reducing a switching current.SOLUTION: A magnetic stack 30 has a free layer 32 having a switchable magnetization orientation, a reference layer 34 having a pinned magnetization orientation, and a barrier layer 33 therebetween. Each of the free layer 32, the reference layer 34 and the barrier layer 33 has a center. The stack 30 includes an annular antiferromagnetic pinning layer 35 electrically isolated from the free layer 32 and in physical contact with the reference layer 34. The reference layer 34 is larger than the free layer 32. |
