PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of re-writing a program without considering the state of an electronic control unit.SOLUTION: An electronic control unit (ECU) 1 includes: a flash ROM 3 having a storage area for storing therein a control program for controlling an engine EG and capable of re-writing a stored content; and an arithmetic unit 21 configured to perform processing according to the control program stored in the flash ROM 3. When receiving a reprogramming request from a remote center, the electronic control unit performs re-write processing for re-writing the content of the control program stored in the flash ROM 3. The storage area of the flash ROM 3 is divided into a predetermined first storage area 31 and second storage area 32 so that both areas do not overlap. A storage area where the arithmetic unit 21 reads the control program differs from a storage area where the content of the control program is re-written through the re-write processing. |
