PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the performance of polymer electrolyte fuel cell by preventing leakage of supply gas and a power generation deterioration phenomenon at a peripheral edge portion of polymer electrolyte membrane in the electrode/membrane/frame conjugant of the fuel cell.SOLUTION: A first frame body which pinching a peripheral edge portion of polymer electrolyte membrane is provided with several recesses for fixing the polymer electrolytic membrane at the peripheral edge portion thereof, and a third frame body is formed on the boundary face between the first frame body and a second frame body by injection molding. By this means, the second frame body on the first frame body is made softened and deformed along the recesses of the first frame body so as to have a projection-like shape, whereby the polymer electrolyte membrane is clipped by the recesses of the first frame body and the projections of the second frame body, thereby providing an electrode/membrane/frame conjugant part in which the polymer electrolyte membrane is fixed to the first and second frame bodies. |
