PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently carry out shade taking.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for identifying tooth color in which a shade guide called VITA Classical (a trade name) made by VITA is used to select a color sample which is the most similar to a tooth in color brightness from among A1, A2, A3, A3.5 and A4, which are color samples of A type colors (a process 1), and then to select a color sample which is the most similar to a tooth targeted for evaluation in color brightness in a group in which the color sample selected in the process 1 exists in the following groups 1 to 5, in each of which three color samples are grouped from the most bright to less, when the color samples are arranged in order of brightness based on the color brightness as an index (a process 2). The group 1 contains A1, B1 and B2; the group 2 contains A2, C1 and D2; the group 3 contains A3, C2 and D3 or A3, D3 and D4; the group 4 contains A3.5, B3 and B4; and the group 5 contains A4, C3 and C4. |
