PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display device from being inoperable because a display image cannot be viewed in the display device.SOLUTION: When a setting operation of the lowest luminance (setting value) is performed by a user, before the lowest luminance setting value is stored, a central processing unit (CPU) temporarily changes luminance of backlight to luminance equivalent to the lowest luminance setting value set by the setting operation (S2 to S6). Thereby, when the setting operation of the lowest luminance setting value is performed by the user, before the lowest luminance setting value is stored, the user can know whether or not the set lowest luminance setting value is a value equivalent to too low luminance to view the display image. Thus, since the lowest luminance setting value equivalent to the too low luminance to view the display image can be prevented from being stored, even when a semi-stationary volume for setting the lowest luminance is not provided, it is possible to prevent an information terminal from being inoperable because the user cannot view the display image. |
