PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a lid opening/closing detection device for a washing machine, which is resistant to vibration, excellent in strength and low in cost.SOLUTION: The lid opening/closing detection device of a washing machine includes: a clothes introducing opening 12 that is provided substantially in the center of an upper frame body 31; a lid 34 that is provided so as to be freely opened and closed to cover the clothes introducing opening 12; a magnet 25 that is provided at an end of the lid 34; and a control board 26. The control board 26 has a magnetic sensor 27 having a magnetoresistive element and a metal plate 28 for introducing the magnetic field of the magnet 25 to the magnetic sensor 27. The metal plate 28 has a surface positioned at the front of the magnetic sensor 27 and a surface positioned at the front of the magnet 25. The magnetic sensor 27 discriminates the open/close state of the lid 34 by detecting the magnetic field from the magnet 25 through the metal plate 28. Thus, a lid opening/closing detection device of a washing machine which is resistant to vibration, excellent in mechanical strength, low in cost and high in reliability is achieved. |
