PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the exposure time of a unit pixel appropriately.SOLUTION: The solid state image sensor includes a photoelectric conversion part which performs photoelectric conversion of incident light and stores optical charges thus obtained, a voltage conversion part for converting the optical charges transferred from the photoelectric conversion part into a voltage signal, a first gate for transferring the optical charges stored in the photoelectric conversion part to the voltage conversion part, a second gate for resetting the potential of the voltage conversion part, a third gate for resetting the optical charges stored in the photoelectric conversion part directly, and a control unit for controlling the driving of the first through third gates. Exposure time of the photoelectric conversion part is adjusted when the control unit controls driving of the third gate. The disclosure is applicable to a solid state image sensor such as CIS, and an electronic device having an image pick-up part including the same. |
