PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an alkali-free glass which satisfies properties such as meltability and devitrification resistance and further reduced in or being substantially free of environmentally toxic components and to thereby obtain an environmentally friendly alkali-free glass substrate.SOLUTION: The alkali-free glass does not substantially contain an alkali metal oxide, AsOand SbOas a glass composition, and contains by mol%, 55 to 75% of SiO, 7 to 15% of AlO, 7 to 12% of BO, 0 to 3% of MgO, 7 to 12% of CaO, 0 to 5% of SrO, 0 to 2% of BaO, 0 to 5% of ZnO, 0.01 to 1% of SnOand has liquid phase viscosity of 10dPa s or more and temperature with high temperature viscosity of 10dPa s is 1550°C or lower. |
