PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition plug which preferably inhibits the occurrence of pre-ignition due to a fuel-air mixture remaining in a plug pocket.SOLUTION: An ignition plug 1A includes an insulator 5 and a housing 4A which houses the insulator 5, and has a plug pocket P between the housing 4A and the insulator 5. The housing 4A is formed so as to have a copper core 4a and a base material portion. The copper core 4a is provided at a portion of the housing 4A which is positioned around the plug pocket P. The housing 4A formed in the above-described manner contains a carbon steel that is a first metal forming the base material and a copper alloy that is a second metal at least partially forming the portion of the housing 4A which is positioned around the plug pocket P. |
